"Since giving birth to my now 21 year old, maintaining a healthy diet and weight loss has been a challenge. Getting older has definitely slowed down my metabolism and brought on a few health issues. I've tried everything to get back to the weight I once was or somewhat close to it - Weight Watchers, Atkins, Daniel Fast, going Vegetarian and hired Trainers. All were very successful, but only short term because I always found that I got comfortable once the weight was gone and then I turned right back to my old habits - not working out and eating very unhealthy. I currently work at Phonak and moved positions and met my AZ Field Rep, Kim Melvin. After getting to know more about Kim, I found out that she is into Body Building and has a very strict Macro plan. I loved the way she looked, but really had no interest in learning how she kept herself so fit. I had just done my latest weight watchers stint and lost 12 pounds, but again, gained most of it back. Curiosity finally got the best of me and I started asking questions. At first I was like whoa that is crazy, but each time I talked with her I had a desire to try the plan. Being around me and seeing my eating habits, Kim was very hesitant on helping me and I am thankful that she waited until she knew I was truly ready to make a change in not only my eating habits, but my lifestyle as well. The Macro plan has given me "life" again! I have been on the plan for over 6 weeks and have lost over 8 pounds. Not only have a lost weight, but I have lost inches and consistently working out and more importantly, lost those terrible eating habits. I can still enjoy the foods I want, but in moderation and not overeating like I did before. I love entering everything I eat in MyFitnessPal and being more cautious of what I buy when grocery shopping as well. I am so thankful that Kim introduced me to this plan and I look forward to continuing this journey of a 'HEALTHIER NEW ME"!"

"Kim has been an amazing nutrition coach. I've always struggled with losing the last few pounds, and after having a baby last year, I decided I needed to get more serious about watching what I eat. I really like Kim's plan because I can still eat whatever I want, but I basically have to fit what I eat into my daily macros - "tetris" as she calls it. I've lost 6 lbs in the past 6 weeks, and honestly I've cheated most days so I'm sure with a little more discipline I could have lost more by now. :) That said, I love that Kim meets me where I'm at and is encouraging when I slip up. I highly recommend her!"

"I was a 14 dress size and am now wearing size 8/10. I still have 10 pounds to drop before I feel I've hit my goal, but I've come a long way since starting the macro eating plan. I've lost 16 pounds to date. I don't want to call it a diet, because it's not! I don't feel deprived, I'm never hungry, I just make better choices. It does take some adjusting, but my energy level is incredible. Even my husband noticed within the first week! Keeping track of what I eat was the key for me, and carrying an emergency protein snack helped! I travel extensively and have to eat out/entertain on a regular basis, but this it totally doable!
